This one was super easy. The back of the photo, purchased at an antique store, has John Binford bro of Eli Binford died 1923 . Back of photo. The photograph of an older man with white hair and goatee is from the Harnish studio of Noblesville, Indiana. Front of photo. On Ancestry Public Trees I searched for John Binford died 1923. There were only two and one had died in Indiana. He was John H. Binford, born  1847 in Hancock, Indiana, son of Joshua Binford and Sarah Ann Hunicutt. He died on 9 October 1923. Among his nine siblings was Eli G. Binford (1854-1935). John had married in Hamilton County, Indiana in 1870 to Martha Perlina Ballard and the couple had three children: Leona (1872), Emma (1875), and Frank (1879). Only one of their children (Leona) was alive in 1910 when the couple lived in Clay, Hamilton County. John worked as a farmer. A short obituary appeared in the Indiana News on 11 October 1923, page 5, column 2.

Three photos from an antique store.  These are members of the Sager or Sagar family based on what was written on the back. I started with this photo. There is no studio mark. On the back is written "Lizzie & Oscar Sager"  Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bombay (Lowe) Sager and James Oscar Sager. On Ancestry Public Trees I searched for an Oscar Sag*r with a wife Elizabeth. There was only one match, for a James Oscar Sager with a wife Lizzie/Elizabeth Lowe. According to the tree the couple had a daughter Georgian R. Sager, born about 1908 in Indiana. The tree indicates James Oscar Sager was the son of George Smith Sager and Louisa Ferrel Compton. That couple had three other children- Louretta Elfrida Sager, Mildred Earl Sager, and Pearly Edward Sager. The 1900 census lists the couple living in Terre Haute, Harrison Township, Vigo County, Indiana: Sager, James O. head b. April 1870 Illinois, carpenter Sager, Lizzie wife b. June 1875 New York The 1910 census lists the couple i...

An antique store purchase. On the back is written W. G. Skewes, Sylvania or Ives Grove, Wisconsin. Studio: Beatty Valparaiso, Indiana. Sylvania and Ives Groves are in Racine County, Wisconsin. On Ancestry I discovered that there were 1,086 Skewes  (using Soundex) in the US censuses for that county. On the 1880 census there was a William G. Skewes, born circa 1867/1868, son of Samuel and Elizabeth Skewes. Ancestry Public Family Trees provided more information. William George Skewes was born in Ives Grove, Wisconsin. He worked as a dentist, mail carrier, and church deacon. He was married twice but had no children. I have posted his photo on his Findagrave memorial His obituary is below. Waukesha Daily Freeman , 19 December 1953, page 1, column 1.

Zillah Haskins and her son Joel Haskins , from an Ebay seller from Glendale, New York. I normally buy my photos at thrift stores or antique stores. This one was taken by the Feiger & Platt studio in Pomeroy, Ohio. Ernest Feiger (1832-1900) was my great-great grandfather's brother. The photo, originally from an album, is of Zillah Haskins and her son Joel. Zillah Haskins & Son Joel. Photographed by Feiger & Platt, Pomeroy, O. I searched on Ancestry Public Trees for a Joel Haskins with a mother Zillah and immediately found them. Zillah (Reynolds) Haskins was born on 24 May 1824 at Neversink, Sullivan County, New York, the daughter of Reuben Reynolds and Abigail Groo. She was married on 3 June 1852 in Meigs County, Ohio to Joel Haskins (1817-1856).   The couple had three children- Maria (1853-1933, m.
