A wedding photograph found in Kingman, Arizona.  It was taken at the Romeo Art Studio. No city listed, but a quick internet search showed that the studio from in Michigan. On the back in blue pencil is: Herman & Anna Krell Repcka. Herman and Anna (Krell) Repcka, circa 1904. I searched Ancestry Public Member Tree for a Herman Repcka and quickly found him. A different version with the probable best man and maid of honor is on Ancestry. Herman Theodore Repcke was born on 22 August 1877, the son of John Rapcka and Minnie Mindeman. He was baptized in Marlow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany on 9 September 1877. He emigrated to the United States in the mid-1880s. On 21 June 1900, Herman was a farm help for Silas and Amanda Douglass in Avon, Oakland County, Michigan. Herman was married on 7 December 1903 in Avon to Anna Krell. Pastor K. A photo purchased at an antique store in Kingman, Arizona. It is from the Bushnell Fotographers who had branches in San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose, California. On the back in blue ink is: Rebecca Bailey Segber and son Hiram[.] Grandmother of Beverly[.] Great Grandmother of Robert & Barbara[.] (Rebecca- grandmother of Beverly Segbers Howell[.] Hiram- father of Beverly S. (grandfather of Robert S. Howell [and] Barbara J. Have never seen so much genealogical data on the back of a photo before. Rebecca (Bailey) Segbers and Hiram Segbers. I searched Ancestry Public Member Trees for a Hiram Seg* with a mother Rebecca Bailey. One entry in 19 trees. Rebecca Bailey was born on 3 October 1867 in Livermore, Alameda County, California, the daughter of Hiram Bailey and Casimira Molina. She was married in 1892 to Joseph Segbers. On 25 October 1918 she was aboard the SS Princess Sophia when it ran aground in the Lynn Canal near Juneau, Alaska. All 364 persons on board died. Her body was rec...

A one dollar photo found in Warren, Arizona . It was taken in the Wilcox studio in Sioux City, Iowa. On the back in pencil is the following: Oct 3rd 1923 Hope 15 Bea 23 E. F. Bauldin[?] 509 Mound Ave So. Pasadena Calif I began by searching the name Bauldin in the 1920 census using Soundex in Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa. There were 102 entries, so I narrowed it down by adding E. in the given name spot. This came back with 11 entries including an E. F. Bouldin. Bouldin, E. F. 46 b. Kansas,Agent Real Estate Bouldin, Amelia 47 b. Michigan Bouldin, Beatrice 19 b. Illinois Bookkeeper Telephone Bouldin, Hope 11 b. South Dakota So obviously this is a match.  Edward Franklin Bouldin was born on 2 February 1874, the son of William F. Bouldin and Sarah A. (--?--). On 5 June 1880, Edward lived with his parents and siblings Sulina, Minnie, and Rosa in Rockford, Floyd County, Iowa. His father was a laborer. I purchased a framed set of photos on the Goodwill.com auction website ($13.99). On the back was a handwritten note: Starting with Myra (counter clockwise) [note starting at the bottom] Oscar Patterson Miller Patterson Isabell Patterson Wenzel & Mary Skliba Thomas Carlyle & Mary Skliba Jackson Aurilla Jackson Patterson in the middle with Ruth The photographs are copies made in 2006 (not originals). My initial research on Ancestry Public Trees for Oscar Patterson and Miller Patterson were unsuccessful- too many individuals.  So then I searched for a Ruth Patterson with a mother Aurilla Jackson and immediately found them. Ruth Mary Patterson (1917-2001) was the daughter of Thomas Carlyle Jackson and Maria S. Skliba. Maria's parents were Wenzel Skliba and Mary Mishka and matching photos of the couple were posted on Ancestry (the one in the photo collage is one of those pencil drawings popular in the early 1900s. A pair of photos from Kingman. The studio mark on the back is G. S. MOORE PHOTOGRAPHER New Lisbon, Ohio. Labels were attached to the front identifying the couple, who were obviously photographed at the same time. Charlie Huston, 1885. Hattie Huston, 1885. As it turned out, Hattie was actually Mattie. New Lisbon is in Columbiana County, Ohio. There are several Charles Hustons living in Columbiana County, Ohio. This individual is Charles William Huston, born 17 April 1856 at New Lisbon, Columbiana County, the son of William Edgar Huston and Louisa Ann Hoover [or Huver]. On 18 June 1860, Charles was the four-year-old son of William and Louisa Huston, living in Lisbon with his siblings John E., Mary A., and George. His father was a tailor. [1] On 1 June 1870, William and Louisa “Huster” and their children George and Charley lived in New Lisbon Center. Charles was a farm laborer.
