Levi Ellsworth Harvey was born on 22 November 1863 in Franklin Township, Grant County, Indiana, the son of Sidney Harvey and Jane L. Thomas. He was married in 1899 to Susan Emma Higgs. Susan was born in July 1865 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, the daughter of Robert Higgs and Eliza Squires.

On 26 April 1910, Ellsworth and Emma Harvey and their children Robert and Mildred lived at 911 W. 5th Street in Marion. Ellsworth was a bank cashier.[2]

On 10 January 1920, Ellsworth and Emma Harvey and their children Robert S. and Mildred lived at 911 W. 5th Street in Marion. They owned their home. Ellsworth was a bank cashier.[3]

On 2 April 1930, Ellsworth and Emma lived at 911 W. 5th Street in Marion. Ellsworth was a banker at Main National Bank. They owned their home, valued at $5,000, and had a radio.[4]

On 8 April 1940, Ellsworth and Emma lived at 911 5th Street in Marion. Ellsworth the vice president of a commercial bank. They owned their home, valued at $5,000.[5]

Emma died from a cerebral hemorrhage on 21 March 1950 in Marion County, Indiana.[6]

On 17 April 1950, Ellsworth was still living at 911 W. 5th Street. Mabel Maple might have been living with him as his housekeeper. He was the Director and Honorary Vice President of the City Bank.[7]

Ellsworth died on 9 February 1957 in Crawfordsville, Montgomery County, Indiana from a cerebral hemorrhage.[8]

Ellsworth and Emma were buried in Estates of Serenity [Cemetery] in Marion.[9]
