I searched the United States censuses on Ancestry for a Rose Tratner living in Michigan. In the 1930 census the family was living at 4706 Delmar in Detroit:

Samuel Trachtenberg AKA Tratner was born on 29 December 1892 in Lithuania, the son of Harry Trachtenberg and Chase (--?--).

On 5 June 1917, Sam Trachtenberg registered for the draft while living at 305 Hendrie Street in Detroit. He owned a confectionary business. He was medium height and build, had grey eyes, and black hair.[1]

Samuel served in the British Expeditionary Forces (B.E.F. Jewish Unit, Detroit to Windsor) during World War I.[2]

On 15 January 1920, Sam Trachtenberg lived with his parents and siblings Beckey, Cellia, and Abie in 305 Hendrie Street in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.  He was the proprietor of a candy store.[3]

Samuel Trachtenberg was married on 27 February 1921 to Rose Snider in Detroit, Michigan. Rose was born on 15 July 1898 in Lithuania, the daughter of Abraham Snider and Rebecca (--?--).  Rabbi Joseph Eisenman conducted the ceremony, which was witnessed by Louis Rukos and Joe Rathopiaz.[4]

On 25 March 1927, Samuel Trachtenberg filed a declaration of intention to become a United States citizen. He was a merchant. He had a dark complexion, was 5 ft 6 inches, weighed 190 pounds, had dark brown hair, and brown eyes. He came to the United States from Liverpool, England aboard the Cedric on 15 December 1920.[5]

On 9 April 1930, Samuel and Rose Tratner and their cons Louis, Max, Benjamin, and Hyman lived at 4706 Delmar in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. They owned their home, valued at $10,000, and had a radio. Samuel was a fruit peddler.[6]

On 8 April 1940, Sam and Rose Tratner and their sons Dave, Max, Benjamin, and Hyman lived at 4268 Richton in Detroit. They owned their home, valued at $4,000. Sam was a wholesale candy peddler and the two oldest sons were delivery boys for a retail grocery.[7]

On 10 April 1950, Samuel and Rose Tratner and their son Benjamin lived at 4268 Richton in Detroit. Samuel was a wholesale candy proprietor and Benjamin was a taxi cab driver.[8]

Samuel died on 4 August 1969 in Los Angeles County, California.[9]

Rose died on 4 February 1975 in Los Angeles County, California.[10]

Son Max was born on 29 July 1923 in Detroit and died on 27 July 1985 in California. Samuel and Rose are buried in Eden Memorial Park in Mission Hills, Los Angeles County, California.
