I purchased a number of antique photographs from an antique store in Tucson.

Five photographs from an extended family.

Five photos from members of the Redmon and Whitsitt families.

1). The first is from the Speelman studio of Winchester, Kentucky. This was in Clark County. On the back is written in pencil "Uncle Squire Redmon/ Winchester KY. Grandpa Ramseys Uncle."

I searched Ancestry for a Squire Redmon living in Kentucky. On the 1860 census Squire Redmon was listed as a 16-year-old living with his probable father Robert Redmon in District 1 in Clark County, Kentucky. The post office was Winchester. Other records indicate Squire Benjamin Redmon was born on 6 September 1843, son of Robert Redmon and Agnes Elsberry, and died from Pott's Disease on 7 June 1915 in Clark County. He is buried in the Winchester Cemetery in Winchester.

2). Next was photograph from the same studio with "Mrs. Squire Redmon/ Winchester, Ky. Uncle & family of papa's (Robt. Ramsey)."  This is Rachael Frances (Gardner) Redmon. She was born on 4 July 1846 in Clark County, daughter of Thomas Gardner and Mary Ann Ramsey. She died on 15 April 1929 in Winchester and is also buried in the Winchester Cemetery.

3). The third photograph was taken by the T. D. Saunders studio of Lexington, Missouri. On the back is written in pencil "Mollie Whitsitt cousin of Grandpa Robt. Ramsey" and "Daviejean."

Now according to Ancestry Family Tree, Robert Martin Ramsey (1843-1913) was the son of Alexander M. Ramsey and Nancy Ann Redmon. Nancy was Squire Redmon's older sister. Robert's father was John Ramsey (1777-1837) who was married to Margaret Whitsett (1781-1849).  Further searching on Ancestry Family Trees reveals that Mary P. Mollie Whitsett (1871-1900), who was the daughter of James McGrady Whitsett and Elastina Eliza Jane Rawlings, and the wife of Joseph G. Dries, lived and died in Lafayette County, Missouri. She is buried in the Odessa Cemetery in Odessa, Lafayette County. Robert Ramsey and Mollie Whitsitt would be second cousins, if this is the correct woman (I think it is highly likely).

4). The fifth photograph was taken by the Brands Studios, 210 & 212 Wabash Avenue, Chicago. On the back written in pencil is "Frank L. Ramsey, Odessa, Uncle Frank- David Ellas; brother." I have yet to identify this man.

5).  The sixth photo was taken by the Wells studio of Odessa, Missouri. On the back was written in pencil: "Aunt Matt Ramsey Murray. Sister of Robert Martin Ramsey, Daviejean's grandfather." I quickly found her on Ancestry Family Tree, where there are two other photographs of her. Matti was born in May 1838 in Clark County, Kentucky, married Thomas Alexander Murray, Jr., and died on 25 July 1916 in Odessa, Lafayette County, Missouri. She was buried in Mount Hebron Cemetery in Odessa.
