Burnaham Cavanagh was born on 11 April 1872 in Tuscola, Douglas County,
Illinois, the son of Michael Cavanaugh and Ellen Theresa Cummins. On 22 June 1880, Michael and Ellen
Cavanagh and their children Patrick, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, Michael, Hannah,
Ella, Mamie, and Nicholas lived in Tuscola, Douglas County, Illinois. Michael
worked for a railroad and Ellen waskeeping house.[1]
On 7
June 1900, Miche and Ellen Cavanagh and their children Pat, Mike, Hannah,
Nicholas, Thomas, John, and Martha lived at 107 E. White in Champaign,
Champaign County, Illinois. Michael Sr. was a section worker for a railroad,
Pat and Mike Jr. were railroad conductors, Nicholas and Thomas were railroad brakemen,
and John was a grocery deliverer.[2]

Mabel was born in 1878 in Illinois,
the daughter of James Bryant and Hattie Dilley.
On 27 June 1900, Mabel Bryant lived
with her mother Hattie Balatrum[?] in Centralia, Marion County, Illinois. Mabel
was a school teacher.[3]
On 20 April
1910, Michael B. and Mabel B. Cavanagh and their children Burnham and Harriett
L. lived at 305 E. Healy Street in Champaign, Champaign County, Illinois. Michael
was a railroad conductor.[4]
In
January 1920, Michael B. and Mabel Cavanagh and their children Burnham and
Harriett lived at 6844 Ridgeland Avenue in Chicago. They rented their home.
Michael was a steam railroad conductor.[5]
On 4
April 1930, Michael B. and Mabel B. Cavanaugh, their daughter Harriett L., and
room Henry Hansaner lived at 6555 Woodland Avenue in Chicago. They owned their
home $11,000, and had a radio. Michael was a railroad conductor and Henry was
an electrician at a steel manufacturer.[6]
On 12 April 1940, Michael and Mavel
B. Cavanaugh, their son Paul B., and Paul’s wife Ruth E. lived in Chicago. They
rented for $65 a month. Paul was an insurance salesman and Ruth was a credit
manager for an engraving company.[7]
Michael died on 22 January 1947 in
Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.[8]
Mabel died on 18 May 1961 in Rocky
River, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.[9]
Michael and Mabel were buried in
Oak Woods Cemetery in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.[10]
