I purchased a huge photograph (17 inches by 12 inches) for two dollars here in Tucson. No studio mark but paper-clipped to the back was a yellowed piece of stationery (Foreign Language Department, State University Colle, Buffalo, New York). Written on the reverse was:

Kimmell family.Manias J. Kimmell was born on 19 March 1842 in Lake Township, Stark County, Ohio, the son of Jacob A. Kimmell. And Eliza Brumbaugh. On 18 September 1850, Menias lived with his parents and siblings Mary, Elizabeth, Margaret, and Eliza lived in Lake Township, Stark County, Ohio. He had attended school in the last year.[1] On 6 June 1860, Manias lived with his parents and siblings Elizabeth, Lydia, Almira, and Joseph in Lake Township, Stark County, Ohio. He worked as a farm laborer and had attended school in the last year.[2]
Manias was married on 5 June 1864 in Stark County, Ohio to Christenia
Getz. Minister of the Gospel Henry Broward conducted the ceremony.[3]
Christina was born on 16 April 1844 in Ohio, the daughter of Samuel Getz and
Catharine Krumlauf. On 22 November 1850, Christiana lived with her parents and
siblings Mary A., Henry, Eliza, George, and Hiram in Green Township, Summit
County, Ohio.[4] On
5 June 1860, Christiana lived with her parents and siblings George and Hiram in
Lake Township, Stark County, Ohio. She was listed as a domestic.[5]
On 4 August 1870, Manies and Lena Kimmell and their children
Clara, Eliza A., Cyrus, and Irwin lived in Sparta, Noble County, Indiana.
Manias was a farmer and Christina was keeping house. They owned $1,170 in
personal estate.[6]
On 16 June 1880, Manias and Tena Kimmell and their children Clara
E., Aline, Grant, Irvin, Annie, James, William, and Samuel lived in Perry,
Noble County, Indiana. Manias was a farmer and Tena was keeping house, The
oldest seven children had attended school in the last year.[7]
On 1 June 1900, M. J. and Christina Kimmell and their sons
Wm. A., Samuel C., and J. A. lived in Noble, Noble County, Indiana. Manias was
a farmer, William a farm laborer, and Samuel and Jacob were teachers.[8]
On 22 April 1910, M. J. and Christina Kimmell and heir son
William lived in Noble Township. Manias was a general farmer.[9]
Christina died from arterio-sclerosis on 5 March 1916 in
Noble Township, Noble County, Indiana.[10]
In January 1920, Manias lived with his son Henry and Henry’s
family in Noble Township.[11]
Manias died from cerebral apoplexy on 15 February 1922 in
Wolf Lake, Noble County, Indiana.[12]
Manias and Christina were buried in Spara Cemetery in
Kimmell, Noble County, Indiana.[13]
Manias and Christenia (Getz) Kimmell were the parents of
nine children:
i.
Clara Ellen Kimmell was born in 1865 in Noble
County, Indiana. She was married to Harrison J. Messner. She died in 1919 in
Whitley County, Indiana. She was buried in South Park Cemetery in Columbia
City, Whitley County, Indiana.[14]
ii.
Elizabeth Alma Kimmell was born on 14 July 1866
in Stark County, Ohio. She was married to Florence Edward Seymoure. She died on
7 July 1858 in Columbia City, Whitley County, Indiana. She was buried in
Christian Chapel Cemetery in Merriam, Noble County, Indiana.[15]

Grant C. Kimmell was born on 27 February 1868 in
Indiana. He died on 2 September 1894 in Noble County, Indiana. He was buried in
Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, Noble County, Indiana.[16]
iv.
Irvin Henry Kimmell was born on 7 June 1869 in
Noble County, Indiana. He died on 9 November 1936 in Noble Township, Noble
County, Indiana. He was buried in Wolf Lake Cemetery in Noble Township.[17]
v.
Annie E. Kimmell was born on 11 May 1871. She
died on 19 December 1885 and was buried in Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, Noble
County, Indiana.[18]

James S. Kimmell was born on 3 February 1873 in
Noble County, Indiana. He died on 21 July 1958 in Noble County, Indiana. He was
buried in Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, Noble County.[19]
vii.
William Albert Kimmell was born on 22 February
1875 in Noble County, Indiana. He died on 15 September 1949 in Fort Wayne,
Allen County, Indiana. He was buried there in Lindenwood Cemetery.[20]

Samuel Clarence Kimmell was born on 11 March
1877 in Noble County, Indiana. He died on 1 May 1959 in Noble County, Indiana.
He was buried in Wolf Lake Cemetery in Noble Township.[21]
ix.
Arthur Jacob Kimmell was born on 23 June 1880 in
Kimmell, Noble County, Indiana. He died on 6 June 1865 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe
County, Indiana. He was buried in Grand View Cemetery in West Lafayette,
Tippecanoe County, Indiana.[22]
