Four photos of the Pearce family.

A photo from the Biel studio of Terre Haute, Indiana. On the back in pencil and pen "Left to Right Mag Pearce Prise[,] Owen Pearce[,] Grace Pearce Lowe.

I searched Ancestry Family Trees for a Grace Pearce with a husband surnamed Lowe. There were two different individuals, the second one was from Indiana. It turns out that Grace Ellen Pearce was born in October 1879 in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana, was married to Isaac Nathaniel Lowe, and died in Vigo County on 10 December 1963. She was the daughter of Sylvester S. Pearce and Nancy Jane Woodsmall. She was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Vigo County.

Her older sister Margaret Ann Pearce was born on 3 July 1876 in Vigo County, was married to John Henry Price, and died on 26 June 1938 in Indiana. She is buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Owen Cecil Pearce was born on 6 December 1888 in Terre Haute. He died in 1937.

The next photograph is a real photo, divided back postcard. On the front in pen is "S. S. Pearce." This is the three children's father, Sylvester S. Pearce. He was born on 4 May 1854 in Riley, Vigo County, Indiana, was married to Nancy Jane Woodsmall, and died on 4 April 1914 in Harrison, Vigo County. He is buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

The third photograph is his wife Nancy Jane (Woodsmall) Pearce. It has no studio mark. On the back is written "Nancy Jane Pearce." Nancy was born on 18 August 1857 in Indiana and died on 4 March 1919 at Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida. She is also buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Nancy Jane (Woodsmall) Pearce.

The fourth photograph is a real photo, divided back postcard, written in pen is "Aunt Mary Howlett sister of S. S. Pearce." Sylvester had a sister Mary C. Pearce who was born on 7 July 1849 in Kentucky, was married to Josiah W. Wolfe, and died on 21 July 1913 in Indiana. She is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Terre Haute. However, she was not married to a Howlett. I am uncertain whether that was a mistake, perhaps the person who labeled the photo got it wrong.
