Ernest Lacy, Estelle (Lyman) Lacy, and Jasper Lacy, 

I searched Ancestry Public Member Trees for a Jasper Lacy, son of Ernest Lacy. He was easy to find, with only one matching entry listed in 22 trees.

Ernest Jasper Lacy was born on 2 November 1873 in Austin, Mower County, Minnesota, the son of John Salmon Lacy and Catherine H. Gibbs. He was married on 11 September 1900 to Estelle May Lyman. Estelle was born on 9 October 1873 in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The couple had two children- Jasper Glen Lacy born on 1 August 1906 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Evelyn Estelle Lacy who was born on 29 November 1914 in Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California.

In May 1910, Ernest J. and Estella M. Lacy and their son Jasper G. lived in Township 7 of Stanley County, South Dakota. Ernest was a sheep ranchman.

Ernest died on 11 December 1933 at Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California. He was buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, Los Angeles County, California. Estelle died on 7 May 1962. Jasper died on 7 August 1973 in Orange County, California.

I purchased a box of photos at an estate sale here in Tucson for $20. Very few of the photos had names on them, but luckily there were a set of letters written in 1927 that identified them as belonging to the Henry Colt family. A photo with minimal information. Can I identify the family? I purchased a lot of photos from an estate sale auction. This one was in a modern frame. I could see the photographer's studio mark- E. J. STONE, DEXTER, MICH. When I removed the photo from the frame, I found TODD FAMILY on its back. Who were these people? I went to the Directory of Early Michigan Photographers available online here . Two more photographs. They are by the C. A. Carlson studio at 1509 Fifth Street in West Superior, Wisconsin. The first has written in black ink on the back is "Mr. & Mrs. Matson." The scone has written in black ink on the back "The Matson children September 1895." So I started by looking at the 1900 census for Douglas County, Wisconsin where West Superior is. There were 27 Matsons. There were four heads of households. None of them had five children. I then searched Matsons throughout Wisconsin, and found that there were 572. I checked the counties bordering Douglas County- Bayfield, Burnett, Ashland, and Washburn- and failed to find any matches. So these people will remain unidentified for now.
