On 18 June 1860, Charles was the four-year-old son of
William and Louisa Huston, living in Lisbon with his siblings John E., Mary A.,
and George. His father was a tailor.[1]
On 1 June 1870, William and Louisa “Huster” and their
children George and Charley lived in New Lisbon Center. Charles was a farm
laborer.[2]
On 24 June 1880, Charley lived with his parents and a niece
Carrier Arter in Center, Columbiana County. Charles was now a tailor.[3]
Charles was married on 30 November 1880 in Columbiana County
to Mattie Robbins.[4]
Martha Ida Robbins was born on 11 August 1858 in Ohio.
On 4 June 1900, Chas. W. and Martha I. Huston and their
children Clare L., Robert H., Nellie J., and Gail, along with servant Bridget
Crossgrove lived in Center. Charles was a merchant tailor.[5]
On 19 April 1910, Charles and Martha I. Huston and heir
children Robert, Nellie J., and William Gale lived at 138 E. Walnut Street in
Center. Charles owned his own tailor shop with son Robert an apprentice there.[6]
On 8 January 1920, Charles W. and Mattie J. Huston and their
children Gale W. and Nellie lived on E. Lincoln Way in Center. Charles continued
to be a tailor.[7]
Charles died on 27 September 1927 in Salem, Columbia County.[8]
Martha died on 3 March 1933 in Lisbon.
